Hey there, fitness explorer! I'm Samira, and I'm thrilled you're joining us on this adventure. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a total newbie, we've got your back. Let's dive into everything you need to know to rock your first class!

What to Wear and Bring:

  • Comfy, move-friendly clothes that won't play peek-a-boo during the ab-five or donkey kicks

  • Your beautiful bare feet (or grippy socks if you're fancy)

  • Water bottle (hydration is key, folks!)

  • Your own mat and props if you've got 'em, or use ours – we've got sanitizing wipes!

Pro Tip: Eat a light snack a couple hours before class. Trust me, swan dive or down dog on a full belly is no fun!

Setting Up: Feeling lost? No worries! Our awesome desk staff or your instructor (me!) will help you find the perfect spot for your mat. We're all about that VIP treatment!

The 411 on Classes at the Yoga Center of Columbia:

  • 100+ classes weekly – something for everyone!

  • In-studio or online options (we're flexible like that)

  • Props needed for home practice:

    • Yoga: Mat, strap, blanket, blocks

    • Pilates/Mobility Stretch: Mat, strap, blanket

    • Meditation: Just your awesome self and a comfy seat

Our Motto: All Abilities, All Bodies, All Ages We're not kidding! We of course have baby and me yoga classes. And from 17 to 87, we've got students rocking it at every age and stage in our adult classes.

New Student Special: 3 weeks unlimited for $59 – it's like an all-you-can-move buffet!

Before Your First Class:

  1. Arrive a few minutes early to soak in the good vibes

  2. Check out the free core and breathing video I email before class – it's like a secret super hero for helping you feel comfortable your first classes!

  3. Remember: "The hardest part of class is getting TO class." You're already winning!

During Class:

  • Listen to your body – it's smarter than you think!

  • Form is your BFF – ask questions, we love 'em!

  • Embrace the journey – every wobble is progress
